So, where are all those people who always look down on YouTubers? Whether it's movies or even selling air, they have to show up and talk trash.
But today, there’s a YouTuber who has literally brought cinema to YouTube. He has made every creator proud.

Ekaki Chapter 1 Ashish Chanchlani Review
Ekaki Chapter 1 Ashish Chanchlani Review

Ashish Chanchlani.
His name itself is enough. And today is the best day to talk about his work because the biggest video of his career just dropped. It hit YouTube so hard it almost crashed the server. Even big stars need to worry now. This is the dream project of Ashish bhaiya.

So yeah, this is a proper project—call it a movie or a series, whatever you want. They picked a topic that even filmmakers think twice about.
First: horror.
Second: comedy.
Scaring someone and making someone laugh—both are tough.
But Ashish decided to scare you while making you laugh, and make you laugh while scaring you.

Chapter One of Ekaki is now live on YouTube. It’s about 28–30 minutes long, and in that time you get just a small peek into the world of Ekaki.

Last year, Malayalam cinema released a super underrated film called Two People Are Missing. Are they alive or dead? No idea. But their final hours were captured on camera, and someone ends up getting that footage.
I’m mentioning this movie because the category is the same—found footage cinema. These films make you feel like you’re not watching actors, but real people being recorded, where something goes horribly wrong.

The story starts with a road trip. There are lots of jokes—some simple, some double-meaning.
Ashish delivers his dialogues with full power. A group of friends goes on a vacation to an isolated place for adventure. There’s a lonely villa waiting for them, and yes, the house is also named “Ekaki.”

Where Ashish is, comedy is guaranteed. But there are also surprises.
The horror starts when zombie-like people show up. You know how zombies are—how do you kill someone who’s already dead?

But honestly, I don’t think zombies are the main point. It feels like the film is actually about black magic.

And the funniest part? Ashish could’ve hired a big actor to play the villain.
But who did he pick as the villain?
Lights.
Yes, the flickering lights in the house that act like they have a mind of their own.

My favorite shot from the whole film is of a woman in a white saree, standing near a river in the forest—dark, quiet, and shot so beautifully that it looks straight out of a proper movie.

The video quality is top-level. It never feels like a regular YouTube video.
The audio is also solid.
There’s a party song with real-life vibes and that famous Nukliya track, “Tumhari Beti Ke Andar Bhayanak Atma Hai,” used smartly to create scary moments.

Just keep in mind: the content is very friendly and casual. Ashish’s regular audience will love it, but some people may not vibe with certain jokes. That’s all.

Only Chapter One is out right now, so don’t expect a full masterpiece yet.
As the story builds, Chapter Two might blow your mind.
Early judgment is okay, but don’t finalize anything yet. Watch it yourself—you’ll enjoy it.

Right now, it’s about 90% comedy.
I’m personally waiting for that 10% supernatural horror.
It’s a great start. Free content like this on YouTube will definitely push the industry. The day isn’t far when movie stars and filmmakers start respecting this platform more seriously.

Chapter 2 drops on December 8.
Set a reminder, buddy.
Watch it, and then let’s guess who the real mastermind is. I think I know.
